I noticed these two space grabbers the other day, they had a good go at taking up an extra space.

Pedantic, I suppose I am, and considerate. If you can reverse into a bay and stop without going into the bay behind you, you are a better driver than I am.

Bays in Duthie Park by the way are all along one side of the road, with adequate spaces between each bay, with a white line marking the ends of the bay. If cars park within the bay's, no problem, when one uses one and a bit, the one behind them is too small for anyone to use, if you get my drift..

Not pedantic enough!

The use of the apostrophe in "bay's" is incorrect.

You didn't do use it at the beginning of your last paragraph, so why use it elsewhere?

I thought the law was a bit odd and allows parking in cycle lanes because obviously you can't cycle in such a lane if there are cars parked there. However the highway code says:
140
Cycle lanes. These are shown by road markings and signs. You MUST NOT drive or park in a cycle lane marked by a solid white line during its times of operation. Do not drive or park in a cycle lane marked by a broken white line unless it is unavoidable. You MUST NOT park in any cycle lane whilst waiting restrictions apply.

If he's letting out passengers he may be influenced by the overgrown hedge. I don't understand why people think it's OK to let their hedges grow out over the footpath.

I'd be leaving a note on his screen every day if it was a regular occurrence. He MAY eventually get the message.

If that's the cycle lane outside Kew Gardens, then that parking may well be sanctioned. As far as I was aware, the cycle lane there has specific operating times (8am to 10am off the top of my head), when it must be clear of parked vehicles. The remainder of the day it is free parking with no other limit of time. The surrounding streets mostly have 'Residents Only' or 'Maximum 1 hour' on-street bays. The 10am suspension of the cycle lane coincides nicely with the Royal Botanic Gardens opening, but it prevents regular commuters from hogging all the parking spaces when they want to catch the train (tube?) into central London first thing.
