Taking the space of two cars and blocking a dropped kerb. For a period of several days.

(Although whether it is a good idea to put a dropped kerb in a parking bay is another matter)!
to be fair about the dropped kerb it doesn't look like it leads anywhere so not really an issue I would have though?
That's one weird looking parking bay, but a dropped kerb is a dropped kerb, still piss poor poor parking nevertheless.

Not really bad parking as it was bloody huge but amused me, just casually nipping to tescos for lunch

Should be able to get that in a bay. The track width on it is 72 inches + the width of one tyre which is probably 20.8 on the back so 93 inches wide.

Abandoned today; car park not overly busy but I wonder about the sort of person who would leave a car like this then go shopping

You have to admit, herring bone parking is difficult. And there were only five spaces available.

The owner didn't realise until it was paid for just what a big car the SLK is.

Lazy lazy bint at the local co-op. Hazards on does not make it ok just to dump the car blocking the entrance road.

Unless they've just run over a chav and are in the middle of dragging them into the bushes. In which case it's ok.

Tesco, Newbury, this evening. An elderly couple with the wife driving drove in the Out, parked up, and on about the fifth attempt put a remarkably small amount of fuel in under direct instructions Tannoyed from the till.

Folk in the shop were sniggering.

The lady came in to pay, bid everyone good evening and drove out of the In against the traffic.

In her fifty years of driving, never had an accident; seen hundreds though.

To the right of the bollards, is the entrance to "Boots", it's a very small car park, but with loads of empty spaces. So shall I park my car or abandon it on the pavement so I don't have to walk too far.

Decisions decisions decisions.

Silly me I didn't know that, your right thought, that's what they all say, someone parked similar to that the other week, but totally on the road, I couldn't drive out of the parking space, if you see the pic it's a one way system, and you need the space on the road to drive out, and line up to reverse in.

But I managed it with a three zillion point turns. frown

There was a newsagent in Empire Way in Wembley with double yellows outside and a succession of people would park outside and dash in to get a paper. Each person's thinking was clearly, "I'll only be a few seconds," but collectively they reduced the road to single track in the morning rush hour.
