Sat. nav. fail.
Apparently the driver was smoking a joint, noticed a Police car further up, panicked and ditched the car literally at about 60mph (in a forty zone). rolleyes

I have no idea if that's true (the owner of the house opposite told me) but the distance from the road to the final resting point would suggest it was the case.
Well, at least he found a good supply of grass

How on earth do they think that's parked. Fortunately a wide road, but honestly.

Sainsbury's Kenton. Car park approx 30% full but this Audi driver decided to park in the entry road.
Spaces closer to the store were plentiful.

On an otherwise empty road

Quite common on my street (this junction is right outside my house) for parking on corners but this was particularly careless

Look at the little space between the car and the bike racks thingies

Don't know how they thought they would fit in there.

But they tried with both doors open wide, whoops!

I didn't see it happen, my daughter took the after, pictures, and I took the first one. Glad it wasn't me parked next to,them.

They had to,call a tow truck to recover it. This in the car park at Drum Castle, near Banchory.

So are you saying they reversed back into that space with both doors wide open? Why the hell would you do that? Was the driver on Drugs? Was the Driver Blind?

So he has bent the drivers side door backwards on the bike rack and also bent the passenger door back on the not so Mini mini! Wonder if his foot slipped on the pedal and the car shot backwards while passenger was getting out?

Who was the Driver? The bloke with the sunglasses on his head or the bloke with Grey hair holding a book of some sort?

Did the Police turn up?

I'm going for not trusting mirrors (bit complex for them). So open both door and have the passenger look backwards while looking backwards themselves. Paying no attention to the position of the doors and such.

I would think not, then again biggrin poor mini was quite damaged as well. What happened I don't know, why reverse with doors open no idea, obviously not conversant with reversing using mirrors. Oh well st happens as they say hehe

No space close enough in the free car park? Just make a new one on the grass.

Raining? Just park on the entry road near the door even though the car park is nearly empty and you can walk under a canopy to the door.

(The silver Astra was parked sideways across two disabled spaces when I pulled in)

It's to the Fiat (new) 500 what the BMW Mini Countryman is to the BMW Mini
