Hilarious. That bloke in the background needs a word bubble…

WTF is it with dumbarse people at pumps, so this woman works out the hose it long enough to do that, but can't see that the one she is next to also has enough length to go around the back of the car.

Or chooses to park next to the left pump.

In the shade, innit?

Initiative or unreasonable sense of self entitlement?

there is a large group of drivers who still believe that the hose will not reach over their car, ignorant bliss.

I find it very amusing to go to a petrol station and find long lines all waiting for a pump on a particular side whilst the other side is empty. The look of amazement that comes across these peoples faces when they see that you can take the hose over or around the back to reach the other side...

I don't like the risk that the grimy, gritty pipe will scrape on my paintwork or the embuggeration of ensuring it doesn't. I will fill from the wrong side, if it will be far quicker but if the wait looks to be almost the same, I'll hang back for a couple of minutes.

God gave you two hands. Open the fuel flap, unscrew the filler cap and place it in the holder, the other hand not on the nozzle can hold the fuel pipe off the paintwork... biggrin

There's been a Landrover with a trailer parked on double yellow lines on a busy road near me for about three days now.

That sign is exaggerating at best, clearly that gate isn't in constant use! As such it should be ignored until they change it to something like frequent use.

That won't be the case for many ordinary cars, but I'd like to see someone attempt to get a hose across a VW Transporter hehe

Nah, for those vehicles you have to use some other sort of crazy idea, like around the front or back. Bit like a reach around for your car.

Luckily I was in a Ka that seems to have been acquired for town, was tight though, don't know if my oversized Mercedes would have got through, a fire engine wouldn't.

Funnily enough the mini driver was in the house with the cone, he was watching me squeeze past.
