I feel the need to report that a Micra parked 1 space down from me in the local Morrisons yesterday, so badly that I reached for my phone...

It was barely halfway into the space (tho between the lines) - mostly sticking-out into the road behind - easily 2m from the fence.

The little-old-lady who got out must have been 100. She could barely move - used 2 sticks yet she's NOT parked in a disabled space despite being eminently qualified and there being several available at the entrance (one of which was disgorging a fat woman and her fat partner at that very point).

The little old lady doesn't get a picture taken - she's fine in my book, we can drive around her just fine

Should not be on the road.
You can say that about someone you've never seen drive can you?

My next-door-neighbour should not drive - his parking is '2 feet out at the front - 3 feet at the back' and he progresses at 25mph everywhere whilst barely being able to see whre he's going.

This lady parked out of a space - something it seems most drivers (including the Police) do - and you're banning her from driving?

It must be great being so fking sure about everything - are you Donald Trump?

Calm down. From what you posted, her driving sounds pretty st. It's one thing misjudging a reverse park and ending up wonkey or over the lines. It's a skill that has to be mastered. Quite another to misjudge the forwards or backwards movement of the car by 6 feet and leave it sticking out into the road.

In the shade, innit?

Initiative or unreasonable sense of self entitlement?
Dogs in the car?

I know loads of people who'll park like that in services if they have dogs etc onboard. It's not blocking anyone & stops the dog dying in the heat, the last one being something owners appear to care about.

Not only is it on a double yellow, but behind that bush is a large, totally empty motorcycle parking bay. On Tebbutts road in St Neots.

Comments on the pinkness are inevitable. Looks like it's on a US plate too for some reason. Something along the lines of bambi or barbi. I think I may take another shot of its plate on the way back if it's still there.

See this is why I think that after a certain age you should have regular driving tests etc.
Honda should automatically give one to people that buy a Jazz.biggrin
When I bought my first Jazz, There was a questionaire to fill in before I signed the sales document.

1...Do you regularly drive at approx 50mph?
2...Do you often forget to cancel your indicators?
3...Do you 'flash' other drivers from time to time?
4...Do you drive in the middle lane of motorways for no good reason?
5...You have been known to enter a road and have no idea why?

I got 100%. The sales person said, 'Sign here'.
When I bought mine I was probably the youngest owner for a newish Jazz by a decade or three and the only one they had sold a Jazz to that didn't also own walking sticks. First thing I did was thrash it down the DC on the way home cool

I does not have to be a very hot day, or being parked in the shade, or have a window slightly open.
Cars heat up to greenhouse temperatures in very short order.

Being a sprightly 67, I have never 'thrashed' my Jazz along any thoroughfare.

'Thrashing your Jazz' sounds like a thoroughly disgusting, if enjoyable habit.

Post boxes are just too far away from the kerb, and so inconveniently placed by zebra crossings.

I'll just sit on this zebra crossing with my foot on the brake pedal - can't be arsed to reverse ten foot into a parking space
(redundant drop kerb as there's a shop front there)

Not sure about this, maybe it should be in a good parking thread?

Seems to be the norm these days, breeze in, abandon anywhere, these particular spaces where it is abandoned are EXTRA wide as well, pity those supermarkets who are only willing to pay to catch you overstaying your time, don't pursue these people, yes I know it's an invoice, but wouldn't hurt to put the wind up them, not all know it's an invoice.

That one almost looks like he's lined up to the lines in the next row rather than his own...
(although more likely just bad parking)

Try it, you might be surprised smile I don't like how the rev limiter and the traction control just switch the ignition off...

Yesterday, I dropped my dad's 2012 Jazz off at the dealers to have some minor work done. I was given a brand spanking new EX Jazz as a courtesy car. I couldn't thrash it. No matter how hard I tried. It was totally gutless. It also had silly lights on the binnacle that changed colour from green (natch) to dark blue if the revs were raised in anything like an aggressive manner.

That's because it only used to be a Jazz. If it was still a Jazz you could have thrashed it.

Incidentally the reason they don't line up is the bay's they are in are wider than those in front of him, and have been for a long time, not as thought they have just painted them. But don't you check when you park, I do.

Think your right in saying bad parking, a lot of those in Sainsbury's these days.
