The BAD PARKING thread [vol3]

Forgot the camera, but came out of our local post office heading off to the left of the pic to my car parked down the road, and alongside the yellow parking restriction plate on the post was a 4 x 4 totally on the pavement and of course a bend, and double yellows, so my choice, go in the road or the grass.
Sitting in the said vehicle were two fat "ladies" smoking, so assume they had let another off to visit the post office, or the co-op for more pies. I said "Good parking" which resulted in a grunt...... By the way just to the right is some parking space, which was empty, but would mean "Walking" about 10 metres to the shop, God forbid.
Note where the landy s parked on double yellows, most choose this rather than walk a few yards to the shop.
I use this post office a lot, as its closest to work (still miles away )
I usually park where that white van is in the distance. Parking where you described is ridiculous, its blocks 2 junctions and would result in scraped sides if you squeezed past a RR. There is a rather large open air carpark behind the co-op too.
I hate aberdeen parking at times.

Twunt of the day. Van abandoned (because it's certainly not parked) a good 2 ft from the kerb, and one irate trucker fuming as he cant get pass, plus about another 6 taxi drivers queuing to turn into the road after the truck, as at the end of the one way street is a taxi rank.
Trucker finally manages to get pass with millimetres to spare, and I mean millimetres. Certainly not enough for a fire tender to get pass.
I came back exactly 59 minutes later heading back to the car park and the van was still there. Fortunately the name of the school was on the door, so I fired off a polite email to them about their driver who has absolutely no idea of how to park, and almost bought part of Aberdeen to a standstill.

What a prick, i hope he got slapped with a ticket, bet the taxi rank loved him.
Didn't have a ticket when I passed the second time 59 mins later, not a yellow peril in sight, maybe they don't go out in the rain. What a prick, i hope he got slapped with a ticket, bet the taxi rank loved him.
Yes Back Wynd.

That aside, you wouldn't get a fire tender past that van which was there for over an hour unattended.

This cockwomble parks like this every Thursday morning at our local supermarket. Yes I know the carpark is fairly empty, it's early, but an hour later it's busy and it's still there, and in one of the closest rows to the entrance.
In this particular carpark there are no raised curbs anywhere so if you park at the end of a row you can overhang the space into the cross hatched area and avoid the chance of dings, which is what I do on the rare occasion I take my 993 there. But of course you have to walk a bit further if you do this.
I'm very tempted to borrow my son in laws shed of a disco one Thursday morning and jam it a couple of inches from the drivers door.
