No photos and not the worst thing ever but some bh decided to park her Fiat 500 across our garage, leaving me with 3 parking tickets. It's a private road, all cars need a parking permit on display, I have 2 cars, normally keep one in the garage, but I couldn't get it in the garage due to her leaving her car there. Left a note on the window but the car and note didn't move for at least 3 days. The most annoying thing is she's not even an immediate neighbour, or even close; she lives about halfway down the road

Guarantee nobody really cares but needed to vent that
Block her in with a car, if you can't hire a small skip. Tell her you'll move it after she's paid the parking fines and for the skip smile
Find out if she has a garage down the road.

Fiat 500 ? only weighs a few hundred kilos , had it been out side my garage , 5 mins work with a trolley jack and it would have been well out of the way , most likely put on DYLs

Nah.. go a step further. Move the Fiat500 out the way, park in your garage and move the Fiat back. Then call the police saying it's blocking exit of your property

Arrogance or Ignorance?

This forces passing vehicles into the path of left-turning vehicles from the main road through the village.

Just in theory.
If one deliberately drove a lorry/shed/tractor into such a parked vehicle, who would be strung-up and lashed?
Because there obviously is a reason for the double-yellow's.

Not exactly parked but "KEEP CLEAR" and the use of a handbrake is beyond some people.

Ok - the keep clear is a given, but use of the hand brake? Seriously? You are going to set the hand brake every time you stop? wobble

If for more than a few seconds, then YES!
Brake lights are bright, especially after dark.

Seriously.

Unless you work at Asda, yes, I'd suggest that using the parking/hand brake when stopped for anything more than a few seconds is the safest and most reliable method of reducing wear on the clutch, the risk of warping the brake discs, and simply getting away more quickly and cleanly when traffic ahead allows. It's also far more effective at preventing your car from being shunted forward in the event of being hit from behind by an inattentive idiot. If you get 'rear ended' while holding the car on the footbrake, your foot will inevitably be dislodged and the energy from the car that hit you will be transferred to your car, pushing you forward into the rear of the next car in the queue, or possibly worse, into a main road full of fast moving traffic, if you are first in line at a junction. Although obviously you have information to the contrary. Please share the myriad of benefits of NOT setting the handbrake whilst stationary in a queue with those of us who are ignorant of them?

I've found some modern lights are blindingly bright when up close. Audi's seem worst for this but they're not alone.

That is actually a good idea.

As shown on PH previously the BIB will act quickly if a car is blocked in a garage. Just not blocked out of a garage.

It is only fair to note, though, that one has not parked anywhere near the cones!

Almost could use the excuse that he wasn't parked on double yellows...

The lay-by they're abandoned in is marked "Buses only", there were the three cars (the Black Megane and a TT in front of it) but the skoda stood out as being not only parked in he wrong place but appallingly parked as well!

IANAL but I should think that you'd be the one being prosecuted, not the parker.

A very busy Flamingo Land car park seemed to be plagued by bad parking, I captured a small percentage on my walk to the gates:

And one from Pickering last week - the cash machine seemed to be a magnet for double-yellow parking (car with roof rack also on yellows) and the fish & chip shop on the main street caused chaos with lazy people blocking off the road to secure a bag of chips. None of the cars parked on the left should be there.
