yes I know but are they really likely to put us much of a fuss? After all, they have parked on "your" driveway & buggered off. Most people would be embarrassed & wouldn't want to cause a scene, hence they would probably pay up & never park there again.

I don't think confronting these people would get you very far either because the fact that they have knowingly parked on someones drive & gone away would indicate that they couldn't care less & they probably think that nobody will say or do anything.... Playing them at their own game would be so much more fun. Either that or hook up my 4x4 & tow them else where & let them find it. biggrin

The kind of person who parks on a strangers drive is the kind of person who would stab you.
Sadly my dad had the problem, he had to fit posts to stop it happening again.
Remember, the scumbag knows where you live.

I think it's very odd to park on someone's drive, would take a very special person to do it.

My sister has the same problem as she lives near a primary school. Picking-up time quite often sees mums parking across or even on driveways "because they'll only be five minutes".

What are the legalities of building a brick wall on the boundary of your property with someone else's car on your drive? tongue out

I just can't get my head around how anyone thinks it's okay to park on someone else's drive. Madness.

I just wouldn't put up with, and I think most here wouldn't either.

They do this at my wife work only over the entrance road down to the school. I found a few times the same car always parks over the road so I gave a couple courtesy beeps much to the annoyance of the onlookers. Now I just hold the horn.

If someone parked on my drive, I'd just park across them. Sure, they'll call the police... who would arrive 45 minutes later and probably make the idiot late for whatever "important" meeting they had. I'll probably give them a couple of cups of tea while they wait... but not let them use my toilet. #ahole

Really? I don't see it this way at all. I see a lot of "suits" doing this & heading of to the train station presumably to get to London for work. Granted they are probably the kind of person that could become confrontational but I don't believe that everyone doing this would stab you. I have also seen this around a lot of football stadiums & lets be honest, these people are opportunists not murderers.

Not trying to defend that style of parking but I know an area close to where I live people park their cars in other peoples driveways & head off to work. Several times the owners of the houses have come back only to find somebody has used their driveway so they tend to block them in hoping it would stop.
That's tttery of the highest order...
If I caught someone doing that in my driveway, I'd let their tyres down. No way of proving it was me
Naar, I'd block them in with my car and say it's £500 to move mine.
I think id either:

Make their best wheel and tyre disappear.
Get a relatives or neighbours Friend to block them in. Ideally someone needing a place to park, whilst they holidayed abroad for two weeks.

I didn't have a camera on me earlier frown
Someone had parked on double yellows & over footpath, as I'm not the slimmest of people I folded his mirror in to get past.
I'm quite upset, I've just found out mum & dad were't married when I was born, I don't have a job?

I am a very important person you know, (tard), where is my exclusive reserved parking place, it's spelt "Pick up point".

Well you don't want me to park in the almost empty car park with the rif raf biggrin

No, they weren't at the cash point either, not even parked at one end, but I managed to reverse in to load my shopping.

Council office with very busy car park, always has one space coned off outside the front entrance, with the cone at the front of the space. Well, it did when I arrived yesterday...

I had to pop into town earlier on my way back from work and someone expecting a delivery had blocked off 2/3 of on of the parking lay byes, I was tempted to reverse over it all but then decided I couldn't be arsed. Would have done the same as you in that situation though

nah, there's a lot of quite entitled/ignorant people who are quite wet when confronted, they just know they can get away with st and have no consideration/shame whatsoever.

Good one. or you could tie all the cans in your recycling along a rope and tie it to their towing eye, hidden under the car. with very tight knots. or zip tie something to their wheel spokes that makes a fwapfwapfwap noise as they drive down the road. unlikely the average punter will carry the tools to remove them.
