Thousands of posts and barely a mention of unrealistically small parking spaces or the assholes who let their children slam doors into your brand new car.
I think we did all that in detail in volume 1.

yes ISTR the consensus was if you have bought a car that's too big then you only have yourself to blame.

ETA Nearly forgot the caveat that there is never a consensus on PH.

Parking spaces are definitely too small now so I can kind of see why people do this, though I wouldn't do it myself. I've also had my door dented by unrestrained children and idiots. What is the solution? Let your car get dented by apes or park like a tt?
None of my cars have ever been damaged in a car park.

Copied over from this thread in SP&L - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... - where OP claimed someone had damaged his car deliberately, before deleting his posts when challenged by other users over the validity of his claims & his parking.

I used to do a paper round along there in 1988-1990ish. My parents still live in Lake Road West.

In fairness I'm guessing the actual spaces were occupied when this tool abandoned their 206. Still there are always actual spaces available if you're willing to walk an extra 30 seconds...

Spaces are definitely too small.
Perhaps we should all park across 2 spaces. Councils would lose revenue, supermarkets would lose customers. They may then realise they need to increase the size of spaces to accommodate the cars of today.
^^Agreed^^

Also,

Space size alone doesn't make a tt out of people.
ste self important attitudes over make a tt out of people (especially when combined with a 'status' car).
