8 year old ford banger? when you were 16 how long did Fords last before being rusty heaps?

My first car was in 2006 and was a 2000 Peugeot 106 for £2500

checking ebay, here is a 58 plate fezza for £2500 iwth 6 months MOT. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Fiesta-Titanium-1-6...

To be fair I look at a 58 plate and think that's quite new as well...

Scary to think that is 8 years ago eek

When I was 16 (1968) I had a Honda 50 moped. I could park it anywhere, anytime. (no yellow lines in them days.) Them days? Very council!

Reminds me of Paddy asking a girl at the dance if he could see her home.

She said "No, I am on my menstrual cycle"

Paddy said "No problem I have my Honda 50 outside, I'll follow you home" biggrin

Idiots parking partially on the footpath in an area which saves them a few seconds when walking to the nearby shops as opposed to using the nearby car park.

The sign should leave them in no doubt but they take their chances anyway.

The reason the sign is there? to stop the idiots from blocking access for delivery trucks which now has little choice but to block one lane of the road a few yard from a bend in the road

Not sure how that Clio can pass an MOT with a plate in that condition.

Clamping cars for unwanted parking is unlawful.

This one got up my bks for a few reasons:

1) abandoned on crossing
2) left engine running
3) parked in opposite direction to traffic
4) ITS A fkING CAR PARK! I'm sure the 40 foot walk from an empty spot was far too much.

£250 fine? Good luck with that, and the threat of clamping. They might stand more chance of not being ignored if they painted double red lines on the road.

there's something fishy about that. Thats a mk7 golf isnt it? So 2013on, on an 06 plate. A 'normal' plate not a 'private' one.

Mmm engine running, false plates, was there a bank nearby ? scratchchin

Looks like GX15 FFJ should be on a yellow dump truck!

Edit: Was the Merc parked anywhere near our Caravan Using Nomad Traveler 'friends' at all?

Surely these will flag on the police car ANPR so you are at a big risk of being pulled over?

What proportion of ANPR 'pings' result in a stop?

Real benefits accrue re speed cameras, parking misdemeanours and the like!
