Surely these will flag on the police car ANPR so you are at a big risk of being pulled over?
The Merc, due it being SORN'd, will probably ping on ANPR (I would have thought - I don't know all the criteria for a 'ping') - the reg. on the Merc shows up (as a Thwaites - again) as being insured on ASKMID. If the Golf further up is showing a reg. that is taxed and insured then it would probably take a copper realising that an 06-plate shouldn't be on such a new car.

The 06 Golf could be a personalised plate though. It doesn't have to be a special 2x2 or 1x3 to be special or personal. What would give it away if they checked would be the wrong make and model of car - hopefully they would check that stuff... I always thought that all ANPR pings were fed back to a central control unit and then acted on. Could be wrong though.

To be fair I look at a 58 plate and think that's quite new as well...
Scary to think that is 8 years ago
When I was 17 i imagined being a 30 something professional with a good job and being able to buy pretty much any car I like for £40k no sweat.Scary to think that is 8 years ago
The reality is all the above...except my next 'new car' will likely be an 09 plate for about 7k! I hadn't bargained on the mortgage, wife and kids!! 😂

Hmmm thinking the Rover driver lives on the right side of the street and if they parked on the other side IN THE ROAD it would be further to walk to their house, and if they parked in the road opposite the other car that would restrict the road width, so brain wave "Let's park on the pavement, sod the pedestrians, those with wheelchairs and prams, I drive a Rover". The Portuguese really get on my tits with parking, never use the spaces properly so when places start filling up there's loads of unusuable spaces. Too used to dumping it anywhere in the towns they live in and take that attitude to built up areas. I only took a pic for an example, otherwise I'd run out of space on my phone in a day.
So I thought, bloody typical, here we go again, even with the recent resurfaced car park with wider spaces.
But no, they had a blue badge, but strangely enough just behind me there was about 10 empty disabled spaces. Most odd, unless they hadn't parked at our ASDA before. Theto the left of the pic looks they have some difficulty as well.
Then again the amount of disabled drivers who get out and scoot off you wonder at times.

They're possibly just the driver for the disabled person, happily abusing the whole system while they get a pint of milk for them, alongside their own weekly shop. But no, they had a blue badge, but strangely enough just behind me there was about 10 empty disabled spaces. [Yes, I also disapprove of disabled badge abuse for abled bodied people]

Can you even imagine, how tardy the questions for that survey were, to get 75% of respondents to reply negatively to at least one of the questions.http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-news/consumer-new...

Or perhaps they have a disability you can't see.[Yes, I also disapprove of disabled badge abuse for abled bodied people]
Bloody hell, do they need to wear a badge to make you happy?
