Tesla with all the gizmos, it will drive itself, tells you when it spots a parking slot, and will self park.

Pity all this hi tech can't figure where the end of the bay ends............ A few badly parked cars like this in South London, where on street parking is a premium results in one less parking slot. Local council even repainted the lines so you can't say you didn't see them.

Strangely enough I have seen three of these Teslas in the last two days.

That series of pictures stands out to me as probably the worst example of parking in this thread. Even the worst parkers close their doors (and a C4's doors are aluminium so could be closed by a gust of wind). I'm betting the other poster was right that the owner probably shouldn't be on the roads at all.

She walked off with the door left open??
My guess is that the door is delib. left open to discourage close parkers. This theory did not work with the 4WD next door.

But it's a Sunday so depending on the signed restrictions parking there is totally fine.

Think you missed my point. The white strips indicate the end of the single yellow, parking it on Sunday is fine, but leaving a biggish gap between you and the start/stop parking restriction, ie white lines can add up to one less bay left it if the car at the other end does the same, personally I always have a look and make sure I am right at the end of the parking area to maximise room for others.

Nice cars though.

I think she was unable to park in the disabled area because it was full of entitled BNWs and AUDIs so she tried to park such that she could open the door hence not being fully in the bay then opened the door to get out but couldn't so shuffled across and got out of the passenger side and closed that door but forgot about the drivers door which she could no longer see. smile

Just a thought - there could have been a motorbike or two parked there when he pulled up, which have now gone, making him look like a bad parker.

I know it's a long shot, but it does happen.

Sounds feasible if you don't check the doors are locked I guess.

I don't quite understand. He's parked outside the bay and I doubt there's room to get 2 cars in that space by the looks of the photo. Those white lines are for a bay that's behind where he is parked as the yellow line shouldn't be painted through the bay.

Something for cars on the other sie of the road...

Rule 239: - If you have to stop on the roadside:
- do not park facing against the traffic

And, was reminded of this...

For those leaving a 2 foot space between their door and the kerb...
Rule 239: - stop as close as you can to the side

The two white lines indicate the end of the parking area, It then goes to double yellows. So he is wasting parking space by not being at the end of the bay, as suggested there may have been a bike there, but most are just too arsed to bother to check to see if they are at the end of the parking area to maximise parking space for others.

If another car does the thing the end of the parking area, this is one space lost in an area where parking is a premium.

Yes but a quiet one. It was taken yesterday where there was a car show near by. The only place to park is on the road so that's why there's lots of cars parked up.
