The BAD PARKING thread [vol3]
Discussion
How much thought do you give to the cars you're about to park next to? I've been the victim of a car park side swipe more than once in the past and the culprit has never 'fessed up to it. The last time ended up in a 4k+ respray... I probably overthink things now as a result.
Prime example. Perfect spot in the car park at work, about as close to the door as I could reasonably expect and I was in the daily wiesel;
Pulled halfway in and noticed all the dents down the side, it had been keyed and there was a baby seat in the back...
Nah. noooooo. Not a chance.
Then I started wondering why a fecking matiz would be that close to the white line;
Can't drive for toffee then... Chances are the owner will be visiting the court in the complex too.
Think I'll be the one parking in the corner of the car park at this rate. Which as it happened, I was when I left this evening. And yup, as I was walking to the car someone drove past and parked next to it. Despite there being 10 empty spaces, in a row, next to it. FFS. Why? What is wrong with theses people?

I tend to avoid cars with any small child paraphenalia - child seats, blinds on the windows etc - as chances are they'll want to open the doors as wide as possible to get the child in, and even if not deliberate, high chance of their door dinging into your car as they bend over to decant child from arms into its seat, do up straps etc.Prime example. As to your last point - I think a lot of people have utterly useless spatial awareness/perception, and can't park unless they are alongsode another vehicle as a reference point.

I actually had a woman smash her driver door into the side of my car the other day. She didn't deny anything but just stood there smiling at me saying sorry. She scuffed the paintwork and then when she went to have a look she had her keys in the hand that she was using to feel the scuff so she dragged the keys along the paint some more
She was parked sideways over 2 disabled bays, I was already super annoyed so I didn't hold back. Told her she has children and is an example blah blah blah.... Asked her if she was disabled? No, I'm not. THEN WHY ARE YOU PARKED OVER 2 DISABLED BAYS.
Just totally embarrassed her in front of all of the other school mums, teachers and students. Hopefully she'll be more careful next time but I doubt it as the side of her door that hits stuff had no paint left on it.

Uni Student parking on residential street near a school. Busy through road which my kids couldn't get past on their scooter (holly bush next to it) so they had to go on the road. Also the mums pushing their buggies had to do the same - genius.
Is the hedge owner just as guilty as the car driver? If so could send to LA. Property owners are required to keep hedges in check.herewego said:
