Later, these numpties also parked there. The passenger pleb even got out to make sure the driver had backed up close enough to the car. Still didn't notice it was in the driving lane. When they saw me taking photos they both gawped at me and what I was taking pictures of. IQ subnormal.

Not a surprise most of the worst offenders are the older ones who simply drove around the block to get their license.

I Popped into the Ipswich branch of McDonald's yesterday. I was sat in the car, waiting for the Mrs, when these three rolled up..

In my local Sainsburys, seen a couple of Bentleys, a roller and a Ferrari, they have no problem parking in ONE space, then again if all cars did, this thread wouldnt be here, so keep it up you tards.

To be fair I don't have an issue with that as long as they do it at the far side of the car park
If ONLY they did restrict it to the far end of empty car parks.

But, life isn't like that outside popular fiction.

With apologies for the blurry photo, spotted these 2 special cases in the pick up bay at Sainsburys last night. No-one in the vehicles, still parked (using the word in its loosest (as in, "drivers both clearly total retards with no ability and clearly lacking in mental capacity to whom it's acceptable to abandon their vehicle wherever is most convenient to them and sod everyone else") sense) when I came out. Not just bad parking, but selfish bad parking.

Its astonishing what some people think is acceptable parking. This is outside a primary school at 3pm, and it wasn't a lazy parent, it was a guy in his 60's who popped into the shop for 5 mins...

The 'new' road surface looks in a shocking condition as well.
Theres a whole new thread that could be started about the council highways department in Norwich

As usual, two morons parking directly opposite the junction as well. High time the rules around this started being enforced.

Yep. Rule 243 Highway Code. I had the council install double yellows in my street to prevent the bottleneck - Victor Meldrew I is laugh

It's not an offence though unless it can be considered obstruction.

Problem is that people of the Hippy era are often selfish arrogant barstewards - they do what they want. [/stereotype]

Are you sure? I thought it an offence to park closer than x feet from a junction and that its tickeable. Also same for parking across top of a juntion (as said rule 243).

Pretty sure. If you look at rule 243 you'll see that there is no law attributed to it. You can normally tell this is the case by the use of the words DO NOT rather than MUST NOT.

And did the yellow lines do any good? We have some outside the Tesco Local that are there because it's on a slight bend to give drivers somewhere to pull in if there is something coming the other way. The trouble is, they are not enforced and keep needing to be repainted as they get worn away by everyone parking on them banghead. If only they had enough strength to turn the steering wheel that bit extra to drive into the car park directly outside the shop.

And some drivers, young or old, are naturally arrogant ignorant barstewards by default.
