Security do rounds of car parks and come to drag you out of meetings if you've driven in forwards. You generally don't do it more than once!
You're either work for the MOD/government, or in North Korea..?

I'd ignore the fk out of that rule on principle!
That's a very quick way to a disciplinary. I work for a big oil company - anyone breaking Health & Safety policy tends not to last very long.
Same here, currently contracting at a large energy company and everyone without fail reverse parks as it's part of the golden rules of safety.
Whether everyone agrees with it is another matter, it's just adhered to without question.

On what grounds does forward parking contravene health and safety policy, out of interest? Presumably visibility in the car park when reversing out?

That's a great attitude you have there.

I find that reversing out of a space, (with larger vehicles/SUV's either side), and using the rear-view camera is easier then edging forwards and trying to strain my neck to see around the larger vehicles parked either side.

YMMV

Which is why he will never work there or if he did wouldn't last long (rules don't apply to me brigade). We had a chap like that once at a place I used to work. Security revoked his car park pass, couldn't park on the road as it was a yellow lines so he had to eat humble pie, take his months ban and get a lift. I love people like that getting their comeuppance.

Shame you haven't got a pushchair you could have rammed into the side of it... "Oh sorry, I just pushed it out the front door, I didn't expect anyone would be enough of a cockwomble to park blocking my door"

Reversing in v driving in has been thrashed to death previously, pointless continuing it here. Back to pictures.

I used to work for Bentley and they had this rule. It makes perfect sense. To be honest, I have always reverse parked anyway as I like to just drive out when I leave!

Not in a Caterham or similar! If you reverse in you have 6 feet or so of bonnet sticking out before you can see past the cars either side on leaving

Non electric car in two bays for electric cars, what a fking ahole. Went into to Sainsbury's and the "security" couldn't do anything as they don't own the car park. Yet again nothing done.

I don't know what's worse, people who can't park properly or people who can't hold a phone the right way up when taking pictures. soapbox
