Should have added - thats a Junior school at the bottom with all manner of crazy pedestrians and road users 8-9am and 2.30-4pm

there are 2x marked bays on the pavement area running parallel to the access road, these are ignored usually.

Where's a traffic warden when you need one eh?

Yes, but parking on double yellow lines means keeping all four wheels upon the carriageway no?
No.

Law enforcers are permitted to do things that are illegal for the rest of us which is fair enough.
Did you miss this smillie in your post? --> wink

Driver of this, when found after 20 minutes searching said " I didn't know how to get into the car park"

So he decided to partially block the only entrance\exit.......furiousmadfuriousmadfuriousmadfuriousmad

The blocks in view are the width restrictions to prevent pie people caravans entering.

They don't even work either.....

No, if the cops are after a thief I don't want them restricted by speed limits etc.

this idiot lives in the same block of flats as me (the other side of that small wall). Some days he parks in his parking space, other days he just leaves it here for no apparent reason.

IANAL, but if they are chasing after someone or going to an urgent shout they are permitted to speed. The law does not permit them to park in disabled only bays, on double yellow lines, etc. so they can go buy doughnuts. For me, where they do, they are acting unethically and promoting the lack of respect that we all seem to be suffering as everyone tries to look after No. 1, sod everyone else.

I think we are on the same side really, onlong with Cliftonite.

Good spot, and you are right about the waves...never there when you want them.

Downloading a bunch of stuff from a memory card, I found these few...

FedEx delivery driver, so obviously exempt from all the normal rules of driving/parking. He'd already narrowly missed knocking me over as he roared out of an old folks home on an adjacent street (I'd been midway across the entrance, on the F-O-O-T-P-A-T-H at the time). He screeched to a halt and waved me across! Fcensoredk you, dumbass. I was already half way across when you woke up. rolleyes

Then he turned up at another delivery, this time to a shop. Hazard lights on, so evidently that makes it OK to park ON the zig-zags for the crossing. And I wonder what those stripes on the kerb mean? You know, the ones in addition to the double yellow lines? Can't see the plate, though, so don't know.

Ah well. I guess we'll never know. Oh. Wait. He's driven another 100 yards up the road, and helpfully, this time, I can get the "No Loading At Any Time" plate in the shot now. Rules not apply to you, Mr Special-Needs?

Local KFC drive through (yes, I have a serious fast food habit wink ). The Oompah-Loompah in a pink T-shirt who got out of this did, bless her, make three attempts to get it into the bay, but all she achieved was going backwards and forwards a bit, because she wasn't turning the steering wheel enough, nor in the right direction. So she left it in two bays (the only two free bays) one of which happened to be the disabled bay for the 'restaurant'.
