Audi driver pulled up after driving past lots of spaces, "parked" and then trotted in to use one of those "Coinstar" machines that converts change into vouchers or something. It wasn't as if he was dragging a heavy sack of money in.

Is that a one way system.

No, he's just parked over the arrow showing people where the exit road is as he's right across from the junction.

Our local school every (school) day.

And police nowhere to be seen!
Zigzag parking is a joke now, I see it all the time(I'm a bus driver).
Why on earth just deploy a yellow peril at school times, and dish out some £60 fines.

Bloody tards, first to moan if this causes their little cheeubs get hit.
I could name 5 regular places where zigzag parking occurs on bus routes I drive.
I have emailed the police/council and nothing gets done.
I do however see police drive past the offenders.

Question for the police officers on here- do you ever give FPN's for zigzag offences?
Parking on ZigZigs is, of course, not just a fine but also points on your licence - sadly, Plod sees parking as 'below them' and so it never really gets enforced.

This is because Plod is too busy waging war on everyone using statistics and filling-in for social workers at the lowest-end of scumbaggery...
Bizarre isn't it? Plenty of traffic wardens hanging around waiting for tickets to expire or wandering round car parks a few minutes before restrictions end to dish out fines. Yet places like that would be a licence to print money yet never get patrolled

This is a police matter, outside the remit for a traffic warden?

apparently it is quite an experience trying to give tickets to these types of tossers - serious risk of physical harm

Good, I've done similar at work in our cleary signposted customer parking area to people who aren't visiting us, I don't block them in but I make it very difficult for them to a) get in their car and b) get their car out.
Annoyed at myself for clicking and reading that, but I did. The article repeatably says that the old chap was left shivering in the cold for hours. Can someone explain to me why he was left shivering when he could have either sat in the surgery or sat in his own car with the engine running? Pure Daily Mail rubbish.
Agreed!

That said, the GP should have defused the situation and moved her car... There's no benefit to being named and shamed like that, I'd imagine there's some awkward conversations with the LHA today.
Strongly disagree.

People who think the world owes them should be treated with the same concept they display to others.

He old fella and his daughter are playing anyone who is stupid enough to believe their embellished bullst.

Surely, this is a job for the Parking Eye cameras, then no-one is put at risk of being assaulted by some twit that can't park sensibly and the money still rolls in.

If I could be bothered, I would set up a company to do just this, you'd only need to work a couple of hours a day and rotate round the local area at random and you would probably be able to retire in 5 years. Hmm, now how do I set up this legally???

That one is staggering! Stupidity, ignorance...or the "sod everyone else, I'm alright jack" attitude that sadly seems to be becoming more prevalent on the roads?

But how many of the illegal parkers know that? If asked to move on by a CEO they probably would.
