Seem to recall a driver in the West Country was zapped for £100 for parking over the line in an almost empty car park.

I wonder - in a pay-and-display carpark, if a car is straddling two spaces will it get a parking ticket for the space they haven't paid for ?
They would get a fine anyway since the parking rules dotted around the car park tell you to park between the lines

Like this:

"It is an offence to: Park other than wholly within a marked bay"

Disappointed. His attitude is really stty.
Clunes comes out of it a lot better than the knob with the camera.
Why? He parked selfishly with a fk everyone else attitude but it is okay because he is the funnier guy?

Having lived in Munich for nearly five years I am forming the opinion that drivers here are far worse than those in the UK when it comes to parking.

Those spaces belong in the things that make your teeth itch thread.
Damn! Beaten to it.

"Shall we paint the lines so the bays are 11 tiles wide or 12?"
"I dunno mate. Try a seemingly random mix of both sizes..."
hehe

A friend parked straddling two bays. He bought two tickets. A parking warden gave him a parking ticket. He contested, citing the two parking tickets - and won.

Good on the parking authority for looking at his facts and upholding his appeal anf

A few do seem too keen to just cite the rules and be done with it.

Not at all, but he kept his temper and remained polite throughout the encounter with a foul mouthed self important dick.

latest wonder parking at Tescos - in the disabled bit, what you are seeing are the noses of the cars on the walkway designed to let disabled people safely not walk in the road - and to easily load their boot without being in the road.

Sorry the photos is sidewards, the upload software must think everything is landscape...

It doesn't matter how polite he is in that situation, I'm not taking it into account.

i honestly don't understand the mentality of parking in a bay until your wheels hit the kurb - makes no sense and the number of cars i see where the lower bumper is destroyed as it gets dragged off when they pull back out!!

if it was a wall you'd park you nose to the end of the bay so why different in this situation??

I've seen a ticket on a car straddling two spaces in my local multi story.

There used to be bollards, like you see nearer the top of the picture, you can see where one 'used' to be on the left of the walkway, I guess Tesco's eventually stopped replacing the ones that people drove into.

Is your car more or LESS likely to be the one that gets tagged by a passing inattentive motorist if it's arse is hanging out in the road? scratchchin

Went to the cinema Wednesday night, usual parking out the front full up and the overflow carpark open. This utter end of a bell parks like this and managed to bend the wing on the Micra getting his powerful build in to his car. Number plate like that and the fkwit can't get in to his car by another means!

more likely to be pranged by an inattentive passing shopper with a trolley and they have no insurance

i can honestly say i've never felt the need to ensure my car sticks out the least in case it gets tagged

if i did i'd buy another smart car wink
