Either way, the further you're into your space you're parked, the less likely that is. Assuming you're not now overhanging at the other end. biggrin

They removed the car by suspending it from its ROOF!

Unwise? Unconventional? Uncommon?

How else would they get it out?

Only way - couldn't get under the car to get lifting straps through due to proximity to a possibly fractured gas main ?

Seen a few done like that, all going off for scrap.

Here's my contribution to the thread, the Vectra is mine. I'm thinking it was a handbrake fail on the Audi's part.

If you use binoculars you might be able to see the front end is balanced on the path with 2mm of tyre.

Asda in Slough (I know, but it was on my way home from work).

Ten disabled spaces. Ten cars. Zero blue badges.

Oh, and a stand up row between two people at the bus stop that was still going on when I came out of the store with my lightbulbs ten minutes later.

Not sure if ths post is better suited to Bad Parking or A Bit Council.

I took this so I could look up the 'plate and settle the white vs blue argument I was having with my wife but then realised it fit here too.

I could get 20 of these before and after school every weekday, I presume they have just changed the law.

It's only against the law at night.

Your right, shouldn't park within 10 metres of a junction 24/7, nothing about night or day.

H.C, Rule 243

DO NOT stop or park :-

opposite or within 10 metres (32 feet) of a junction, except in an authorised parking space

Maybe it's time all these 'should nots' were upgraded to 'must nots' as we're now deeply entrenched in today's 'fark you mate - I'm alright' society, where every possible way to exploit a loophole is ruthlessly applied, cause itz my right innit, regardless of common sense.

Unfortunately it'd still come down to enforcement. We have double yellows on a blind corner in our close but it doesn't stop 'tards parking on them and no-one ever there to enforce as we're out of town.
