What happens when the pay and display is full? Well, you just park on the double yellows of the single track, one-way road that runs adjacent to it and hope for the best;
I honestly don't really have a problem with that. Fine, they're on double yellows and will get ticketed if they leave it there for to long but it's not on a pavement or cycle lane or blocking a drive or taking up multiple spaces etc.Presumably they won't be long and have taken a bit of a risk, I'm sure we've all done it.

Couldn't resist this one from another PH forum, not only bad parking, but three Jaguar XJ220's all on the kerb, and the usual idiot parked on the kerb next to a junction. Lovely cars though.
Band of tarmac down the edge of the footway, do doubt due to numerous broken paving slabs due to cars repeatedly parking on them, and the council has taken the cheap way out, I saw, and made, those same repairs(bodge) when working on highways for a council.oldnbold said:
Came across this teewat today, yes it's a big car, but in this particular car park you can park on the end of a row and put a couple of wheels into the 1.5 metre or so of white hatching, but of course you have to walk a few extra metres to do this.
With the length of those Hellcat doors you would never get out of the car if you parked in a UK Single space AMG Merc said:

Odd one, this. For the last few weeks this car has appeared, collected a nice full set of weekday parking tickets, then reappeared the following week nearby, collected tickets, repeat etc etc.
They have the bonus of a letter from the police this week informing them that it's a clearway.
Tidy inside and clearly being used. It's just down the road from a University, plenty of very wealthy students so my guess is they just don't care. All well and good but I've seen some construction traffic try and fail to pass it when it's been not parked quite as reasonably as this.

Maybe you would if you were a blue badge holder like this car?
Well spotted. But still no, actually. Although as a BB holder I can park on (most) double yellows, it's always got to be without obstructing other road users. Near an entrance/exit blocks the view of anyone leaving the car parl. Other side of the road would have been better (from what I can see).Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
