Left there for four days. No lorries could make any deliveries to the hotel, they had to park on the road.

You would think the staff at the hotel would phone the number on the side of the van for them to contact the driver to move it.....

What's the problem with it then?

I realise there's only so many "over the lines" pictures you'd want to see - so I found one which added plastic st for good measure

Someone sent me this before, apparently the guy in the TT RS wasn't the only one who couldn't read if you look to the right of the picture.

confused But it means you can get to the boot with your trolley without being anywhere near someone else's car.

I always 'like' to reverse in, but I park boot out if I have trolley, as I don't want to risk pushing it down the side of mine and the next guys car.

Leaving it in the roadway doesn't work well as it partially blocks the road and more often than not - rolls away if you don't put your foot under the wheels.

Supermarket trolleys never come near the boot of my own car!

Isn't this the reason one supplies one's wife/au pair/servant with a motor?

I always reverse in to the bollards separating cars from peds. Sorted, personally I think reversing is much safer when you drive out of the space, rather than backing out with limited visual, awareness. But each to their own.
