Expect to read "Elemental R1P" in a year or so. Hope to be wrong, but from the blurb on the website the car seems to have absolutely no USP.

I think the guys at Zenos Cars may be on to something ....... www.zenoscars.com ....a £25k road/track car with a carbon tub and performance that matches the looks.......haven't placed a deposit yet but I hear a demo is due soon so perhaps a test driving is in order! Anyone know if these guys are serious?
Very serious. I've no first hand knowledge, but I know two guys with names down for delivery in 2015 Q2/3ish, and from what they've seen at the factory they currently have no reason to doubt it'll happen.

Yet another would be sports car builder with little to differentiate them from those who've gone before. Keeps life interesting I guess. Just. For real interest though manufacturers need to build or get commissioned their own engine, else remain, at best, a curious niche marque in perpetuity.

I saw the Zenos E10 at Autosport in January and whilst it wasn't a complete car, there was enough there to convince me that it was real. They recently published some photos of it on their Facebook page, with the new windscreen design and it looks very pretty

I personally wouldn't describe that car as "pretty". No, it's not hideous, and it looks purposeful, but "pretty" it ain't! ;-)

That isn't a photo.

It's not far off hideous though, the windscreen version seems a bit of an afterthought. Bonnet looks way too long for a mid engined car

When companies like Lotus are down to under 300 UK registrations a year (40 years ago that was 5000) It does make you wonder just where all the customers are going to come from for all these different makes of track car. They are all similar at similar prices.
Now if someone would make a minimalist, no fancy expensive kit, light car - in inexpensive materials, yet beautiful (think modernised Ferrari Dino shape) small road sports car with say 150bhp mid mounted roadcar powertrain at under £25,000- maybe even part kit as Lotus did in 1960s/early 70s with say 40hrs of final assembly- that would be interesting.
We keep seeing ambitious exotic car start ups that just fade away - all the massive effort is wasted.
Ginetta G40R? though its front engined and a lot closer to 30 grand.

The lightweight car I'd most like to have is the Caparo T1. Designwise it's awesome with the mirrors in the front wings, and the rear lights in the wing.
