I just don't get the trend for having Lei/garland thingies hanging from the rear view mirror. AIUI, it started with surfers in hawaii, but I really don't see what that has to do with ratty stters

Keighley is the Moss Eisley Spaceport of car dealers
One of the best analogies I have ever heard.

As a person who bought a car from them once (and basically won the Euromillions given that there was nothing wrong with it), they really redefine the term 'cowboy'. It must be noted that the purchase was many years ago, before I was savvy.

They now have a southern equivalent (the 'Jango' to their 'Boba' if you will)- S H Car Sales in Bedford. Same story with regards to impossibly cheap cars up to and including supercars, almost all molested/ badly modified in some way.

Made an offer on a seemingly tidy Supra, which was accepted over the phone. Arrived to have them deny any knowledge of having agreed said price, then called me after I walked away and was halfway down the M1 back to London saying they'd graciously accept the offer they previously denied they had agreed to.

F*ck right off you chancing rudeboys.

Stand outs from Keighley/ Motorhub and S H included barried Gallardos, a Murciealago with inch-wide panel gaps and condensation-filled lights, and a couple of classic 911s that had a certain air of 'please kill me' about them. My sadness was compounded by an utter lack of enthusiasm/ knowledge for these once great cars.

The Ali-G lookalike gaffer at S H was eager to inform me that the day-glo orange accents all over his RRS were paint rather than wrap. The orange quilted leather presumably was done to an equally professional standard.

Both 'dealers' are rich hunting ground for badly modified cars.

My years of spotting badly modified stuff in Edinburgh tended to consist of small-engined large-bodykitted hatches and classic Imprezas. Badly modified stuff in London tends toward significantly more high-end/ expensive/ luxury base cars, which often have (had) some real performance car credibility. In this sense, badly modified stuff is much more tragic dahn sahf.

Euro/ French 'mousse expansif' stuff as regularly featured on Barryboyz is the very gnarliest of 'badly modified' to me though...

What are these all about?

There is something similar to that says BECAUSE FORD or because something, I asked my step daughter what it means and it's an online joke and means because it's a ford. Am I being stupid for still not getting it?
It stems from the 'Because Race Car' Internet meme smile

Apologies if this horror has been posted before, but I've not noticed it on here so far. Lifted from BarryBoys, where the Zonda 'replica' is getting a good kicking too.

Other than "because you can", you really have to ask why? smile

The colour scheme makes it look like a london cab has been inserted into the middle of a porsche!

There is a car under there somewhere. The owner is clearly a drooling moron.

I was thinking "what's the big deal - just a few stickers to peel off" and then I got my retinas scorched by the interior! WOW! That's bright

Clearly someone with a deep sense of irony to put a sticker saying "Maverick" on a Rover 25.

Surely an afternoon's sticker removal and some selective application of satin black would increase this car's value significantly?
