So - that car has a flacid penis on the front...

I know a lot of women say men use cars as a substitute for inadequate trouser furniture - in which case this guy will have VERY serious self esteem issues

The amount of sparks there are quite disturbing! They nearly bounce off the road at the slightest bumps!!

I don't think this is badly modified.... Different doesn't make for badly modified.

Built for drifting by a chap in Georgia running a 1985 Ford 302 small block with AFR aluminum heads, a Comp cam, an Edelbrock intake manifold and Holley carbs mated to a BorgWarner World Class T5 5-speed, driving via a 7.5-inch IRS LSD unit from a Ford Thunderbird.

Despite all that engine and gearbox weight, stripping the car back like that has actually made it 90kg lighter than stock

Might not to be your taste, but I don't think it's badly modified

I think you've missed the point of this thread, just because you don't like something doesn't make it badly modified

I dislike the above but I'm sure it has been done to a high standard and is therefore well modified

Maybe he means the exhausts pointing forwards is bad. Good or bad, it is certainly unconventional.

Part MX-5, part flame thrower.

Those aren't exhausts, they're the chassis rails.

You can just about see the exhaust exiting in front of the rear wheel.

In my opinion it looks monstrously ugly but that's not quite the same as being badly modified.

Nope, I haven't missed the point. I'm not questioning the standard of the mods or the mechanical spec, which is interesting (full details on Speed Hunters). It just looks wrong; a confused mix of MX5 and a few traditional hot rod details bolted on to the front. 'Badly modified' doesn't in my view just mean poor/dangerous workmanship. It can be about what the end result looks like too. There are plenty of cars that have appeared on this thread that are ridiculed because of crappy adornments rather than lethal mods. Just my opinion of course .

My friend recently bought a Polo.

He bought coilovers and I knew it would go downhill from there.

It now looks like this. banghead

Sorry, Fred, but I think that is stupidly brilliant. Wouldn't drive it myself, but it would make me smile if I passed it on the road, unlike some of the bewinged monstrosities on here.

Why would anyone want the Polo like this?

EDIT- Its cause of the "Stance innit bruv!"

That looks like a period dealer special edition. I like it . Very period. I'd find the original wheels for it though:

As much as I hate stanced cars, that polo is not stanced, it's lowered, there is a difference
