As far as I know, side repeaters aren't required if the indicators in the front headlights are visible from the side, as in how some headlights wrap around the wing.So cars with indicators on the 'grille side' of the headlights would require side repeaters. All you need is a lax MOT tester though. In fact if it falls under the construction and use things, it might just go as 'not present / not tested'?
