Some of the panels are very difficult to get, if damaged then filler and paint is the only way to repair. The one on wheeler dealers was still in bare stainless.

Interesting fact about the delorean is that its not a stainless steel body as such. Its a fiberglass body on a steel chassis. The stainless steel finish is just the outer panels fitted over the main structural bodywork.

saw a black one on wednesday - truth be told it wasn't that bad... some of the other DLs there looked good but after all this time some of the panels were somewhat less than perfect and it was noticeable

Because it isn't. The one in the ad is a Micra.

All Viewts are Micra-based, the one above is based on the K12 whereas the top one is a K11. Some have the arse transplant, some just the nose-job.
