badly modded or not? You choose. The biggest issue is it looks like it's on stilts!

Looks like a pedigree pooch got free and was "serviced" by a TVR resulting in that offspring
That said, chin splitter and Victorian pram ride height aside, I quite like it.

If that had normal headlights I'd happily cruise around in it.

I'm busy modifying this Austin Healey 3000. Don't worry, it is just a 'glass copy I found, which came with no drive train and a uber mutilated chassis. I'm fitting a big nasty dirty V8 and some other bits. A terrible job, but someone has to do it. biggrin

When I got it some clown had mutilated it horribly.

All that went into the scrap bin, it was nasty , who could DO that to a car????

Now it has a new chassis, and the fun begins....

Think you should put this in owners cars - it looks like an interesting project.

Apparently this is modified? Looks more like it's been crashed into and collapsed.

It just looks like it's been in a serious rear-end collision.

It looks like it's a prop in a comedy film that's had a piano or anvil dropped on its roof. Or it was loaded up with tonnes of stuff to deliver, but there was just one extra waffer thin mint which pushed it over the edge.

Probably because it's got so much downforce.

I drive past this car on a regular basis, the family have a few Vecta's.

Looby Lou is not as pretty in the flesh as the photos suggest

Probably been mentioned many times, but what is this thing about fitting undersized tyres to over-wide rims? Is it supposed to look cool???? Or handle better?? Or can they not afford the correct tyres after spunking out the cash for the wheels????

Looking cool is purely subjective, no one claims it handles better and your assumption of affordability is possibly 100% wrong.

It's just a style, some people love it, some don't understand it and others dislike it.

Isn't it something to do with being able to get the car as low as possible with the widest wheels as possible? So then tyres aren't fouling the arches when the car is hella aired out.

What I heard is it came from drifting, a trapezoidal profile to the tyre makes the tread more stable or predictable when breaking traction. Or something.

So like every boy racer fad, "wow! That looks cool! I have no idea what it's for but I'll do it on my road car anyway but even more than they do, because I'll automatically be cooler!"
