Front was covered in Monster energy stickers and that writing on the window says "sorry officer I thought you wanted to race"....

That's not something I have seen before, an mx5 el camino, wonder what the black flash down the rear wing is

was it the 1.9 cdti per chance - they have always suffered from stability issues over 180mph

Not sure if you can notice the mods on this one. Slight increase in the rear wing profile I think.

to be fair the only thing letting that merc down is the spoiler, rear bumper and large exhaust. from every other angle it looks ok.

Exactly. Oh, and the side skirts, front bumper, colour coded alloys, sun strip, nasty blue tint headlight lenses, ride height, panel gaps...

Would be fantastic if it were a 4 speed manual 190 D Stuttgart Minicab pov spec.

I don't care about the air ride, but those wind deflectors look rubbish.

Seen this morning, poor thing:

A piece of 1970s timewarp "improvement". Furthermore, it appears not to have disintegrated into a pile of iron oxide only from either force of habit, or use of high-tensile paint.
Damn yes, proper of the time. 10/10 would drive that

BR04BUS was that previously on an all black ForFour? Seems familiar, swear I used to see it a fair bit

My uncle has a 1955 Series 2 Morris Minor that was bought brand new by my grandfather. Every now an then he talks about selling it as he doesn't use it much other than drive to the MOT and a couple of local car shows.

There is a part of me that thinks it deserves a full restoration to completely original spec (aside from the 998cc motor my grandfather installed in the 60s) as it could potentially be a desirable car. That said I appreciate it more for sentimental value than liking it for what it is.

However, now and again I see pictures like that red one above and I think perhaps sticking a V8 in it & making it into a hotrod could be a complete change from anything I've built before.
