The replica looks ok to be honest but I really cant stand the stupid rat look.
I was at a car show a few years ago that had various show prizes on offer one of which was best show car. There was some seriously interesting and rare metal in wonderful condition but the prize went to what looked like a broken down leon with a load of stickers on it and a roof rack full of crap.
Not cool in my book!
It wasn't a bad MR2 replica to be fair, the show it was at was very small but also had a Testarossa and a 308. If the truth be told I paid it little attention other than pointing the camera at it, it wasn't until I got home and viewed the images that I thought hmm hold on that doesn't look right. The thing that really wound me up was I was at an even smaller gathering of cars a week later and the Ferrari badged MR2 was there too. There was a chap looking at the car and his son was sat in the car I said to him it's an MR2 and he looked surprised and said are you sure I told him I was pretty sure and he walked off looking embarrassed. I spoke to owner and said MR2 he also looked embarrassed and said yes. I don't mind replicas but this was more of a fake if you get my point. Quite apart from the fact a front wheel drive VW, which cannot drift, has a "drift charm" hanging off the back, and the fact that said charm is a Honda badge.....
That sticker though. Seriously. It's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Leaving aside the annoying proliferation of "Keep calm" variations, they are meant for 4WD vehicles where you can lock the centre diff for traction off road. No doubt the du3sc3n3 wker that owns it thought "ooh... locked axle diff = drift yo!"... except that the only diff in his Polo is the front diff. Locking that would cause him to lose steering ability, and crash. Hopefully into a big tree, rupturing the fuel tank and trapping him in the inferno.
Simpering arsefelching bellend.
Great vitriol. Misdirected; I'd suggest finding a more important issue at which to direct your attentions.Quite apart from the fact a front wheel drive VW, which cannot drift, has a "drift charm" hanging off the back, and the fact that said charm is a Honda badge.....

Buuut....
Drift cars often run a welded differential; i.e. no differential at all!
Drag cars, on the other hand, often have locking rear differentials: Eaton, Dana and Detroit make them. As do others no doubt. Means that it's possible to take off with drive engaged to both wheels equally.
So there is a performance aspect to it. Not just for men in anoraks who want to rip up the countryside for no apparent reason.

Thats a fairly stock car actually. The bodywork and colour coded wheels are factory fit parts for a 25th Anniversary edition. The only mods are those listed in the add the rest is all stock, the stripes are an unlisted mod but will be vinyl so can be removed. The car doesn't belong on this thread imho (certainly not just for the headlights (which are of dubious taste) and the stripes).
