So if i spray 'hitler had the right idea' on the side of my van and someone gets upset, that would be their problem because of how they interpreted it?

I think the point some people are missing here is that as much as some would find this funny or humorous what this says about the person driving this vehicle is that they have a blatant disregard for the families and victims of these crimes (which are all over the news at the moment and are causing massive issues in society as well as for the police).

How would you feel if you were one of those many families and this car drove past you? Thats the point that is being missed. I don't think you would be finding it very humorous then.

The controversies at the moment are South Yorkshire, Leeds is in West - different police forces.

In any case, if they're supposed to be following leads about kidnap and sexual abuse, that's not a million miles away from the subject and for all they know may be worthy of investigation.

Completely different, one is clearly a fictional event, no-one really believes there is a person tied up in his truck bed, the other is agreeing with a rather terrible part of history.

But it's not fictional, is it? Unless you believe no one in the history of the human race has ever been abducted? It's non-specific but it's 'agreeing' with a rather terrible action.
