Rear facing CCTV.

On a Yaris.

Surely anyone should be able to park something that size without resorting to a camera? I take this back if this option was mainly aimed at people who have difficulty in turning their head/neck, rather than just being useless at parking.

Oh, I remember you could order the MK1 TT with a removable hardtop for the Convertible version, I seem to remember it was incredibly expensive and revolting to look at.

Sunroof in a MK1 Clio.

Not saying that sunroofs are a bad thing in principle - however, having owned three MK1 Clios, I never came across one where the Sunroof didn't leak.

I'm sure it would have been better if either:

- Renault put drainage channels for the Sunroof in, so the water didn't pool around it

and / or

- The roof was made of something with a bit more integrity than tin foil

My 9-5 Aero has them and they're crap! Can't switch em off either. No intermittent wipe, just auto, on and very on!

I had this problem with my Mk1 but only when going around a corner.
Once you leant round a corner or roundabout it would splash the collected water onto the recipient of that side which was brilliant fun for soaking passengers but st if you had to turn right.
Most people I know who had one with a sunroof ended up sealing it themselves (usually with caulk/epoxy etc) or welding a plate in.

Has put me off sunroofs/rooves for life.

Auto wipers are good when installed by a good car company.

Our Mondeo stops wiping when the car is stopped and idling in traffic, IIRC. Stupid.

...or the rear wash wipe on a 911 not being standard!
Or the optional 911 windscreen with a tinted top, but no standard windscreen available as a no-cost option.

No seats available without spending more money either, last time I looked.

The scented air fresheners some Citroen's have. Who would want an air freshener clipped to their vents?
???

Whilst I think it's a ridiculous option, the OEM one isn't "clipped to the vents"

Just remebered the Citroen Pluriel with it's ridiculous side frame removal which had to be left at home at the riisk of being rained on.
Pleut-riel indeed.
Leaked like a sieve too.

Ah yes, my mistake. The Citroen one's go into a hole in the dash next to the vent.

i don't know if Porsche still do it but it used to be the case that if you wanted your interior a colour other than black you paid extra but then if you wanted to keep some of the original black parts you had to pay extra again
