Think we're talking about the battery lease, rather than the costs on top to charge, however it looks like they've reduced the monthly battery lease (~almost half) for lower mileages, although I cant find exact figures yet.
Indeed ncbbmw it's the lease cost I was referring to. The minimum for low mileage on a 3 year contract is £70 per month; for my circumstances it would be nearer £90.

This kind of car will typically do an average of about 50 miles per day, so that's £1 for the charging up and £3 for the battery lease. So, £4 for 50 miles, about the same as the 75mpg you can get from a modern small diesel.

Is this ready yet? I've had an extended test drive since, but didn't buy one (very close to buying one though...)
