Personally I think this is hilarious. The fact that they managed to get on the track does not make them the morons.

There is so much butt hurt going on about this.

If you had to pay the race fees and all the other costs that go into just getting on the grid then you'd see it very differently. I can't believe there is no gate. Even Cadwell has a gate to get on track.

Glad no one got hurt but the guy needs dealing with in the harshest way available.

Exactly, all these whopping fees and some randomers just waltzed onto the track.

Looking at the driver's page it would appear he is a complete moron of biblical proportions!

Had a picture of a tyre with no tread whatsoever asking how much life it has in it and another video of his tt mate jumping a Transit over a humpback bridge, hope he fked his van!
Those are just things he has shared, both where being reposted a million times over on the Splitter Scuffers page.

This just seems ridiculous, even if you could (And clearly, you can) why would you do this? I just don't get it.

You seem to have an odd point of view on this situation.

Driving on to a live race track is clearly a stupid thing. Even if there's an open route on to the track, you would have to be incredibly dumb to just drive on. People have to take responsibility for this kind of thing. The young aren't always innocent and able to get away with anything! Obviously they'd ideally have been stopped, but you can somewhat sympathise with those there, as it's clearly something no one would expect to happen.

One day, once you've grown up, you'll understand how ridiculous your statements are. Find yourself a job that pays enough to go racing, then, have some tit ruin it 3/4 way through, see how "hilarious" you find it then. With remarks as above I doubt that will happen, but you never know!!!! Troll begone

That's just really really bizarre.

As much as there are obvious safety implications for all concerned, and it could have ended MUCH worse, this is just a really embarrassing incident for the circuit and event organisers.

of course he shouldn't have done it, but more importantly for me, he shouldn't have been able to do it.

Would have been funny if someone had stuffed him (uninsured) into the armco. Pretty sure he would have been bleating on FB then.

So, lets imagine for their next "funny stunt" they decide to do 100mph down you street for "a laugh", and crash into you and kill a member of your family. Now, tell me your reaction.

Anyone this stupid, with as little care for anyone else needs the book throwing at them right now, before they do something that hurts someone else imo.

Neither these morons nor Brands Hatch come out well in this video.

Do you have a hobby? Clearly it isn't racing. Imagine doing an event in your hobby, which has cost you a lot of time and money to participate in, then someone comes along and deliberately fks the event up for a laugh, leaving you out of pocket and ruining your enjoyment. You wouldn't think it was so clever either.

What I want to know is, what were those people doing there? No one who was actually a fan or took any enjoyment in racing would have done what they did, so what were doing at Brands Hatch in the first place?

So why wasn't the track blocked off?

Surely you would laugh and be amazed if someone drove straight into Heathrow airport? Sure it's dangerous but surely you laugh at the fact they got there in the first place?

It certainly borders on the ridiculous that they could do this. But just because they could, didn't mean they should. They put the safety of themselves and others at risk and wasted people's time and money.
