I'm glad he's at least trying a bit of damage limitation, deep down though I suspect he's grinning away to his mate's enjoying his 15mins of fame.
Prison may be a bit stiff but a hefty fine, some community service and ostracized from any possibility of being taken seriously would be nice to see.

You presume I hadn't already thought about that sort of thing. Most US prisons have armed guards anyway - if the prisoners aren't in the prison, some of the guards can go with them. Transport varies depending on what you want them to do. Besides, not all forced labour is conducted outside of the prison (didn't the cons used to make number plates etc.?).
