Why was there not a barrier though?
Because 99% of adults in this country are not total and utter brain dead morons who would go completely out of their way in devious fashion to drive onto a live racetack.

Therefore there is absolutely no need for a barrier 99% of the time.

It's s like this idiot that make things more difficult for 'normal' people. I presume that security will have been tightened following this incident which will simply inconvenience those track users who have a brain.

It's like saying 'Why isn't there a huge fence down the side of every river to stop people jumping in' the answer is of course that most people aren't fking stupid.

I'd wager you couldn't get into the pit lane at a decent event. Having said that it's a good point that the only reason tracks are available at decent prices is because you don't need an army of marshals every time.

A short stint is appropriate in the circumstances. I believe he'll be eligible for a Home Detention Curfew, which means he may be out before 4 months are served, but I'm not 100% on that.

She needn't worry - he'll have a new one soon.

- because people being raped in prison is funny?
I think it is probably over stated and not quite as prevalent as any discussion of Prison life would have us believe, but, if you value your anal virginity, avoid incarceration by not being a bell end in any way. Nice, normal blokes, the vast majority of the country never go to prison, I only know one bloke who has been and he defrauded many people out of significant sums of money, it is rare that you are there, at risk of a bumming for no fault of your own or a miscarriage of justice.
Exactly. It's not like boarding school or being assaulted in public, going to prison is a personal choice. One can only infer that it isn't rape as they have actively and deliberately chosen to go and stay in a bumming centre. It would be like going dogging and then complaining that your car is sticky.
Read it several times, still not sure what you are saying ?
He is stating that if you don't wish to be raped in prison, then simply avoid prison altogether by not committing any crimes that may result in a prison sentence.

I think that's a fairly straightforward rule to live by.
