It is one matter if it is solely a verbal argument but the game changes the minute either party carries out a violent action and in this case there are no details for the driver to take from the cyclist. There are clearly two sides to this incident but the driver cannot be solely accountable or ridiculed. Despite driving an Audi.

How? How does one report it to the police with no identification details?

Given the noise it makes when someone knocks on the outside of a car, if someone then kicks the car the sound inside would've been far greater. Therefore it is fine to give a textbook response to this situation sitting behind a keyboard but in the actual situation and with the stress of 5 kids in the car one's response may be very different with the adrenaline flowing.

Fight or flight is ingrained in us and she fought. Going be her reaction once she calmed down and how apologetic she was, she doesn't appear to be a lunatic, just human, and got caught up in her natural reaction.

I once got punched in the kneecap by a four-year old child. I did not kick him in the face as retribution because that would've been using my size to serve a disproportionate response.

No idea, I despise London and consequently avoid it as much as possible. Given the average standard of driving on the odd occasion I have ventured there, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a regular occurrence.

Exactly. If someone kicked my car I would have epic sense of humour failure but attempted murder is not a proportionate response (as tempting as it may be).

So what would you suggest? Using your car as a weapon is completely out of the question to the sane, and I may or may not feel like squaring up to someone.

If a cyclist kicked my car, I almost certainly wouldn't do anything, because a) it's unlikely to cost much to repair, and b) it's such a rare occurrence that it's unlikely to ever happen to me again. (Unless I'm a complete tt who hasn't got the nous to stay out of trouble).
