Yep, thread a little quiet of late. I've been waiting to see this car come out for a few years, Alloway built '37 Chevrolet - as always black with red interior and a whole host of body mods and some interesting valve covers..

There were loads of custom legends at Wheels Day this year. As well as Revenge and Popcorn, there was Winston Sewell's Rover, the 'Street Odyssey' Ford Pop and 'De Devil' Transit.

Is anyone familiar with the name Mick Micetich? I ask because someone showed me a photo of his Ford E-Series and I said "Oh, that lives locally to me." They replied "That's Mick Micetich's van, he's been in the custom scene for years."

Is that blue Devon in the background this one?

1954 Austin A40 Devon hot rod by Zack S. Classic Cars, on Flickr
The white car that's behind the blue Devon, an early 60's Panhard PL17, I would never have thought one would ever be at a custom car show......but there you go !!

Great thread by the way..

What you've posted is a standard 2CV, but I think you knew that anyway. This thread is about hot rods and customs, which the original photo shows an example of.

Sorry, it's not a standard 2CV it's a Dyane. It was posted as a reference. Any car can be a "custom" It's what the owner wants it to be......!!

Great thread, I thought I'd add the photo below which did the rounds a while back, not sure why I like it so much but it seems to have an affect on me!!

Personally I like the wheels. They are another Alloway trade mark. On the flip side this car would also look great on a set of 40 Ford painted steelies

Thanks for the Retro-Futurism pic. I've always loved that kind of art but didn't realise it had a name.
Now I've got something to google.

Hi "Crafty_" (I feel like I'm talking to myself!)

Here's my attempt (in progress after a long pause), I guess it comes under "a few other things"......... 1958 Porsche 356A + Audi S5 V8 (mid mounted) + Porsche 997 Suspension/Brakes.

The first 2 photos were mock up stage a few years ago. The last 3 are current ones.

Yes it is. The frame echoes the flowing lines of the body. Stunning build. Probably the coolest car on PH.

1. The Audi V8 is very short (When Audi decided to cram a V8 into an S4 it needed to be short as it hangs out in front of the transaxle)
2. The Audi V8 bolts directly to the Audi transaxle.
