I agree but there might be some warranty issues with people plugging in their own headunits??? Its the age we live in where any little excuse can void the warranties frown
Isn't there a law that says manufacturers can't shirk their warranty obligations if the modification is nothing to do with any fault? I know that in the US, for example, they have to prove that the modification caused the fault before they can invalidate the warranty.

I've just looked, and while it's true you can't get a radio from the factory without upgrading the trim level, the base model comes wired for a stereo.
£60 radio with a USB port from Halfords.

Buy the cheapest Dacia, add 5 years warranty, keep it 5 years then flog it for peanuts. £18.92 (give or take a quid) a week + running costs. Basic cheap transport.

Love it. No idea why its compared to the Dacia Duster, imho two completely different cars that fill two separate markets. The Captur I guess would be its closest rival. The lack of the split folding rear seats is my only concern, but lugging the back seat out of my V70 I now can understand why, split folding rear seats weigh a ton, a lot of extra components are required to beef them up compared to a simple one piece design.

On my short list for a company car for when I return to the UK.

They're both small, cheapish faux by fauxs, no? Admittedly you can get a 4x4 Duster.

Yep.

Although I don't see why it'll depreciate harder than other cars unless it's horribly unreliable. Berlingos (Mentioned because they too are utilitarian transport bought by the tight...) hold their value well because so few get sold on. They tend to be run into the ground by their first owner.

The lack of a CD player doesn't mean it has no stereo! It has a touchscreen with DAB and USB/aux-in connectivity as standard, and Bluetooth streaming / Jukebox on all but the most basic version.

Autocar review above.

A curious car. Think it's fascinating. The external styling alone.

Ever since I ended up buying a C5 by default, I wonder if we have misjudged Citroens.

Edit: prices and specs: http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/citroen...

thought it was £18k? Seems to start at £13k with a decent sounding spec. Not sure what 1.2 petrol is like though.

If its anything like the speedo/dash unit in the Picasso you can have the rev counter next to the speedo, or the nav, or a compass or even a photo.

Only takes a roll of a thumb wheel on the steering wheel to change.

Not really difficult in the slightest.
That is one of nicest looking dashboards I have seen in a long time - I knew the latest Picasso looked super cool from the outside but the interior looks even further ahead of the competition

Why people rave on about VAG interiors when other manufacturers have designs like this I have no idea.......

As for the Cactus - I think it looks great and just over 1,000 Kg these days seems like a great achievement. I would certainly consider one.

Cheers
