The price has now apparently been leaked. $60k (ex taxes).

Seems somewhat cheap!!

Yeah. $60,000 in the US. Or the equivalent of £35,000.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat's 707 storming horses can be yours for $60k

Of course, not the price ex-US, but not a bad place to start. Especially for those who might later buy used.

Any US based Pistonheaders (preferably Eastern Sea-Board - but wherever really) - who can help me get an order in with a proper dealer (who won't try and gouge me later on) - or make any intro's ?? Appreciate it!

Ouch. Didn't take long - apparently he'd taken delivery of it an hour earlier.

Wow. Hope all involved are alright.

Anything to do with the owner potentially going for the TC button? eek

Here's the back-story - looks like another familiar story - simply ran out of talent.

This may be a better option. The last two CTS-Vs have been great cars and now the new one has a slightly detuned Z06 engine and should handle like an M5

GM claims 640 horsepower for the CTS-V, a slightly downrated version of the 6.2 liter LT4 you get in the new Z06. Torque is 630 lb-ft.N

GM also claims 200 miles per hour as the top speed, unverified as is the claimed 3.7 second 0-60 time. Magnetic ride is standard, as is an eight-speed torque converter automatic.

No news on a manual, a coupe or a wagon as yet.

305 section front (and rear) tyres on the hellcat... Shouldn't suffer from much understeer, but might tramline a bit!

There's a review on youtube by chris harris... He likes it.
