Does anyone else think it looks slightly like a GT86/BRZ side one?

The top pic has a very "Maserati" profile, especially in the windowline. A bit fussy, as per modern Ferrari standards. The back doesn't look too great, but the front 3/4 view looks pretty good, to me. I can definitely see the homage to the 250 GTO in the details, without it being overtly retro. So, basically like the one shown last week.

Regardless of your opinion on the styling, I say good on the owner for bringing a unique car into the world, rather than simply wasting that money on something boring like real estate or the stock market.

I like it, although front end reminds me of a Lexus LFA (not necessarily a bad thing). Rear vents are cool though. Wonder how much this cost all up...

This.
Yep, looks like a Yank kit car to me. I'll have the other one please!

Not for me. Eric Clapton's one off is far nicer and if they are messing with these why wouldn't Luca di Montezemelo let the new Stratos go ahead badged as a Lancia by Michael Stoschek - sheer jealousy and piqué maybe as it is so beautiful?

Wrank. If you had the money do you think they'd make you a new 355?

Lexus LF-A front end and to me not very tasteful. I think this American fellow wants a car that is copying other vehicles he owns or he likes from magazines. Not for me.

First thought is LF-A from the front, second thought is that ducktail looks lovely around the rear three quarters from the front angle, third thought is there's way too many slashes and details, fourth thought is they've combined too many curves with straight edges and it actually looks a bit of a mish-mash, fifth (and final) thought is it would probably look fantastic with the ducktail, removal of all the vents and slashes, oval headlamps and front intakes...

I do like that! Although it does look, as someone.has already suggested, that it does look a bit like a Corvette with a body kit.

From the side it kind of reminds me of the Ferrari Thomassima 3 by Tom Meade.

I'll probably get shot down in flames for this, but I actually prefer the original. This looks a bit "over-styled" for my taste. Hats-off for striving to be different though...
I agree, wholly. It's a bit fussy, and the vents next to the rear wheels are a bit ugly.
Great to see a special, though.

The last beautiful Ferrari was the 355.

Agree, although the 550/575 wasn't too bad either.

Looks a bit Lexus in the profile.

These one-off's are stupid. I quite like the F12 it's a grower design and both the recent special's have been uglier than the original product, so utterly pointless.

The only one that has worked is Eric Clapton's 458:

That's fantastic! It's like a Hot Wheels fantasy version of a Dino, but with a front-mounted engine. Like something you'd see on Speed Racer. cooldriving

I'd forgotten how lovely that car is. cloud9 Why can't modern production Ferraris look that pretty?

I agree that the 355/550/575 were the last good-looking era for Ferrari. However, IMO, the last truly beautiful Ferrari was the 246 Dino, and that wasn't even sold as a Ferrari!
