It's called 'Lack of accountability'.
1. They don't have to fix it when it breaks.
2. They don't have to pay for it when it goes in for repairs.
3. They don't really care about cars they way we do.
4. They have little consideration for things that aren't dear to them. Like cats, if they aren't in love with something it needn't exist at all.

Mrs V. has broken the small dual flush handle on the toilet in her bathroom countless times. I wanted to understand how it gets broken and asked her to show me. The lever rests at 3 o'clock. She turns it past 4.5 o'clock (the pee flush), past 6 o'clock (the poo flush) and turns it to 8-9 o'clock. So I've not fixed it. She has to lift the cistern lid and pull the water plunger to make it flush and makes comments. The pull switch on her bathroom is also failing. as she pulls it at a 45 degree angle when walking out of the bathroom.1. They don't have to fix it when it breaks.

I shouldn't have read this thread!
I'm now having kerniptions(?) already about my 3series coupe I'm about to get!
Firstly, the windows have to drop a fraction when you open the door and the wife and all the kids have a habit of pulling on doors before they have even lifted the handle!
And then there will be the slamming closed!
One of my lads had a coupe a couple of years ago and one of his friends had a habit of grabbing the top of the glass to help pull himself out!
Why is it so difficult...
Lift the door handle, gently, then pull the door, it's 2 actions! Not one!
Push the car door at the handle to close, use minimum force and actually keep your hand on the door while it closes, with gentle pressure.
