Harris has the M4 review.

No mention of having to pay.

Yay!

Sorry if this is a repost, I did search

99p a month.

I suspect that's a bit of a bargain. So low that I almost cant be arsed to faff about with the subscription.

£11.88 a year, or the price of a single cinema ticket.

Bargaintastic!

Well yes, unless you live in mainland Europe where the site above just shows up as "This paid content is not available in your country."
But the thing wasn’t even announced yet so there is still hope.

if /drive isnt available on youtube over here I'll be gutted.

Love having the shows on a big smart TV, so much better viewing than topgear repeats...

Have you emailed Germany asking for permission? wink

To be extra honest I don't miss it that much. Too much like Clarkson. I'd prefer a solid driver who lives with the cars for a while and gives a more detailed idea of the cars in time and place. Drive is too much like TV. martin

Shame they've gone for subs based viewing. It may be less than a quid a month but I'm still not paying, plenty of other free motoring viewing out there to get me by.

If it's the same quality and amount of content as it previously was then £0.99/month is a bargain. It's well worth that.

I miss 80's Fast Lane, Autocar and CAR and early noughts evo. Bring in some humble new talent have them read a hundred or so of these older journals and lets reset the standard for what an auto journalist should be- and yes a smiling face with a few laughs every now and again is fine; just not all the giggling and gushing for the camera. martin

Have you read this months EVO where they drive the f40 through the alps? Classic motoring journalism & photography driving

With regards to drive, I won't bother paying for it-as others have said, there is just too much free content out there to watch instead-a lot of it better than /drive & without having to resort to watching Chris Harris.

Totally agree with you.. evo is getting a bit better, I read that issue and it's pretty good- a lot more information about any given car than you get with Chris H. I particullay liked a recent evo where they compared - on a nice winding lanes, the M235i vs M3e92; now that was a detailed pieces of writing. They were able to really explain how the M235 really was not on par with the older car and why. I think Chris is edging towards general interest and that is where he should have always been. Hope PH can find someone like Bovington or Meaden; not too manic and more thoughtful and consistency nuanced. martin

That was 99p a month earlier, that's changed since we posted!

I saw $0,99 when I first checked which seemed reasonable.
Now it shows $3,99/month or $39,99/year. (checked via VPN - still no euro pricing?)

Guess it depends on the content they will put up there but I would not pay that for the usual one CH video per week because I don’t watch the rest.

Even paying 99p to watch the samey footage of cars going sideways doesn't seem palatable, let alone paying £2.49 for it. I was getting bored with them even when they were free!

ah damn!

I was hoping I was missing something.

It's a shame, I think it may be end of the Harris videos (will be for me).

I don't mind paying for things, but paying to Youtube, when all of the other videos I want to watch will still have 30 second adverts in front of them is not something I would be prepared to do, especially when something like Netflix is £6 a month!
