UK dealer stock Lists
Discussion
I'm trying to get a new Volvo XC60, but a new car on order won't be with me till Oct/Nov, and I'd like it now'ish.
My local dealer has had a couple come up as unwanted orders, but not in the spec' I'd like.
Question: Is there any way of viewing on the web the UK stock for these cars, without me having to contact every dealer in the country to find out on the off-chance that they might have a suitable car?

yes I can never be bothered waiting.
Plus the residuals for most factory spec'd new - lets face it are horrible no matter how long you plan on keeping the car - cancelled orders are only a bit better.
I would head to the Volvo forum either here or else where and post the spec you are after, a couple of people there work in sales and can prob look it up - I'm pretty sure you cannot.
Exdemo is my normal route as the mileage is normally very low, the spec is usually high and a lot of the initial depreciation is over.
Not sure where you are and the spec you want but for example this is exdemo:

I think he is after a factory stock list for new cars either on order for customers or cancelled by customers and due for delivery to the showroom.
This wouldn't appear in a "used search" an exdemo might (which IMO is a much better bet financially) even with exdemo legwork usually prevails as you can catch cars before they go up for general sale, which I guess is what the OP is trying to do but with a new factory car.

Your local dealer would be able to see them, but they might not be able to get them, and in that case - they are hardly going to point you in the direction of their competitor are they?My local dealer has had a couple come up as unwanted orders, but not in the spec' I'd like.

A 3 month wait for a car to your spec is not that long is it? You'll wait that long for a DFS sofa!!!
