No wonder insurance is going up.
But it's not, it's coming down.

Hi. New to this site but thought id ask advise of anyone who has been in same position. An ignorant mare blocked me in my driveway a few week ago. Luckily i was on my way out and she was still in her car and she had to reverse about 5 foot down road to let me out. My road is not main road and only wide enough for 1 car to go down at a time so even if you park on opposite side, if your car half on road and half on pavement like her s then impossible to reverse my car out. As soon as i drove off however she drove car BACK into same spot rather than leaving it 5 foot back where she wasnt causing obstruction.... to where she knew she was blocking my drive. Cut a long story short i came home...her car still there,....she was sitting in it but i didnt know that as approached from behind her. I was doing about 4 miles an hour and slowly trying to manouvre my car into drive when i scraped wheel arch on back of my car against same place on hers.Made a noise otherwise i wouldnt have even known.! Now shes trying to claim whiplash !!!!!! Anyone else been in this situation ? If so was whiplash awarded....even if they lie through back teeth ??

I was under the impression the impact speed had to be greater than 5/6mph for any whiplash claims now?

No, was suggested in the media a while back but nothing has happened in this respect as of yet.

Have the British public genetically changed over the years?
Whiplash was unknown when I was younger, have people become so spineless (literally) that the faintest touch - real or perceived- results in these injuries and claims . Embarrassing.
