I've considered everything from the red with tan (but no panorama roof) V6 to the red with black (boo!) but panorama roof 1.7 turbo and even an SZ as a risky investement opportunity.

The SZ is folly. No can do frown

I've also looked at the 147 GTA which is lovely and has that V6 but which won't get me noticed enough around here (yes yes yes I know, but I'm a young male trying to make an impression and it's important to me); 147s are utterly everywhere.

The important thing is, it has to have a black headliner.

I think I'll bite the bullet on the panoramic roof and get the V6. I've come full circle. Does anyboy know of a decent exhaust for it?

PS this is my second car as in the second car I've ever owned; it will be my only car.

If you can find a 147Gta in white, you will be noticed! It looks nothing like a standard 147.

Personally, I also think the Brera is dog-ugly, so I'd go for the GT (sorry, not helpful). biggrin
It's definitely not a cohesive package. Some angles, like the rear 3/4 with the right wheels look good, but it'll always be spoiled by that disaster of a front end.

One much like this, in silver, often parks in the free car park at the far end of the my village and looks quite good, if you don't look at the front.

Additionally its a pretty large car considering that realistically only 2 people can ride and the boot isn't exactly copious. What do they do with all the space between the wheels?! Its like a reverse-tardis.

It's a great long distance rapid cruiser for 2 with a decent boot.

It's great on the mountain passes & fun on track. Wherever you go, people turn, stare or engage you in conversation.

My car has the wizard / Unicorse replica exhaust on it but I've kept the standard tips. It sounds great.

The pads, fluid & hoses have also been upgraded. Essential for a car that gets driven.

The driving downside is the long gearing, as in high 70s in second & close to 110 in third. Makes the car feel slower than it is. The engine has plenty of grunt & is very flexible though.

Tax is £500, economy up to 28mpg but I usually get c19mpg.

OH MY.

...where should I start looking for one of these in Italy? What's the price point do you think; at least in the UK?

Funny thing is, I might actually like the standard sound when I finally drive it- I've always liked deeper if quieter exhausts. I've been looking at my long-time dream C43 as well; found a decent one, perfect for respraying some lairy look-at-me colour (McLaren Volcano Orange? AMG Solar Beam?) but somehow the Brera just has me by the balls now.

It simply looks too damn good, inside & out.

Great looking cars but cramped inside. If you only want one as a 2 seater I say black metallic paint with tan leather. And it must be a V6 with sports car back.

If you aren't set on an Alfa, take a look at a Monaro. 6.0l of V8 power.

Red is more attention grabbing biggrin

I'd love a Yellow one even more but non of the interiors go well except black: booooooring.
