Just an update on this thread, I can't believe it was July that I posted this! I ended up buying a MK2 Focus ST. Love it. I haven't even been in a car quite like this before, it really is a nice drive and goes like funk. I never did test drive the Mondeo, mainly because they are like rocking horse poo rare. Thanks for the discussion, I'll be round the forum.

Congrats. Eibach springs, auto specialist intercooler and induction kit with a Mongoose exhaust and a Collins stage 2 map will see 280-300bhp. RS clutch/injectors will see over 320bhp-400lb/ft and turns these things into absolute animals.
