£5,950, and 480bhp from the factory. Manual 'box too. High mileage but shouldn't be a worry on one of these - they're built like a truck.

A Monaro with exhaust, cam and remap can't be far off 450bhp? Should be doable for under £10k.

There's a 450bhp RS4 on PH for £9,500.

A Toyota Supra TT with BPU is circa 400bhp. Shouldn't be hard to liberate another 50bhp on top. Possibly not the cheapest car to buy initially, but it won't cost a lot (if anything) in depreciation so cost of ownership could turn out to be very low.
