I loved this in my old E39. It was the best interior lighting i have had, not bright but just enough to eliminate the cabin.

The orange glow ambient lighting in the E39 is excellent imho, so much so that I replicated it in my E34, front and rear, and even in my E24. The E38 rear porn lights are nicer still though.

The original FIAT 500 has precisely three switches on the dash.

One is for the headlights, one is for the wipers, the third illuminates the speedometer (which is the only instrument on the dash, there's a fuel light but no gauge).
