I like the BMW orange backlights, and in later ones (well E39 on anyway) there were LEDs in the main interior light cluster that bathed the cabin in an orange glow.
I loved this in my old E39. It was the best interior lighting i have had, not bright but just enough to eliminate the cabin. Riley Blue said:
If I want to switch off the dash lights in my car, I push the switch with 'P' (for 'panel') on it. Everything goes black. The car was made in 1963. Progress, eh?
The original FIAT 500 has precisely three switches on the dash. One is for the headlights, one is for the wipers, the third illuminates the speedometer (which is the only instrument on the dash, there's a fuel light but no gauge).
