RE: 90 miles sideways
Discussion
How did they measure the 90 miles? Because if it's from the rear wheels, which are rotating much faster than the vehicle's actual speed would require, then it wasn't really 90 miles
Impressive feat of driving, in all seriousness. Also, what tyres were used to stand that much sustained abuse?

90 miles continuous drift, impressive.
However, if as per the vid, it's drift till he loses it, drift for a bit, lost it again, drift a while other way, nope can't hold it… try again…. that's not the same definition of "continuous" that I would use.
This. I was very impressed when I read the article, then I watched the video and now I'm not. Granted it takes some skill to lap that ring the number of times he did, but it isn't the 90 miles of continuous drift the record claims - so what is really the longest continuous drift?!However, if as per the vid, it's drift till he loses it, drift for a bit, lost it again, drift a while other way, nope can't hold it… try again…. that's not the same definition of "continuous" that I would use.
So, impressive, but I was under the impression that the record was more impressive than that. A 320d on skinny 4x4 tyres wouldn't be a bad place to start.
Also, fastest drift at 137mph! No. What about Nascar drivers recovering huge oversteer at 200mph? Not to mention tyre test drivers, some of whom slide intentionally at much higher speeds than that, maybe 30 times a day.
